Florida Roots
Michael Starlane is the founder of Sleep Around Points and the editorial voice behind its Disney Vacation Club® coverage. He grew up in Central Florida, went to UCF, and lived in Windermere and Celebration through the early 2000s. He has been visiting Walt Disney World since the 1980s.
He remembers when Old Key West was the only DVC® resort, and members of his family, some of whom still hold contracts today, were already running the timeshare math at the kitchen table. He himself is not a DVC® owner. He came to the rental market as a renter and built Sleep Around Points around what he learned there.
Most weeks he is in the parks, with EPCOT and Hollywood Studios as his usual loops. The list below is the seat he asks for, every time.

Why he started SAP
He started Sleep Around Points after years of renting DVC® points from the northeast and noticing two things. The booking experience felt like it had been built and abandoned around the time ASP was a current programming language. And the small group of companies running the rental market had quietly bought up most of the publications that were supposed to be covering them.
Sleep Around Points exists as the alternative built around that frustration.
